Located on the popular east end of Sanibel Island near the historical lighthouse and just steps down a shell lane to the pristine shell filled beaches of the Gulf. Restaurants and shops are just around the corner. This 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home decorated by an artist/owner is an absolute gem. The minute you walk into the home you will discover the luxurious spaciousness of this 5,700 square foot home (3,800 living). It will sleep up to 10 guests. You enter into the living room which has a large open split level sitting and dining area perfect for entertaining, a flat screen HD TV, DVD player, and a wide door out into the private screened patio/pool area. Here you can relax while reading your favorite book or get your daily exercise swimming laps in this impressively large heated pool complete with painted lap lanes. There is a charcoal grill to fire up then cook and enjoy freshly caught fish and shrimp on the barbie! The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is beautifully remodeled with granite counter tops and island, stainless steel appliances, maple cabinets, and hardwood floors. The separate formal dining room leads into a quiet cozy den that has a large flat screen TV and a fireplace. Off the kitchen you will find bedroom #1 which has a queen size bed, a private bathroom with tub/shower combo and adjoining private sitting room/office that has a double futon and a desk on which to keep your personal laptop computer. This sitting room opens out to the pool area. Bedroom #2 is also located on the main level with a queen size bed. There is a bathroom off this bedroom which serves as the main bathroom for the home and has a walk-in shower. Upstairs you will find bedroom #3 which has a queen size bed and bathroom #3 creatively decorated with colorful fun bubbles and mermaids and has a shower. The master bedroom/suite is an incredible 782 square feet (23' x 34') that opens onto a private screen enclosed sun porch above the pool. It has an antique king size bed, a sizable sitting area for casual lounging and TV viewing, huge walk-in closets (largest is 7' x 30' and the second accommodates a full size washer and dryer, ironing board and iron provided) , a luxurious master bathroom with double vanities, modern claw foot tub and separate tiled walk-in shower. The home owner provides wireless internet, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, bikes and charcoal grill for your convenience. Please note this is a NON-SMOKING property. Nice home on Seagrape

We enjoyed our stay at Seagrape Home. The house is nicely appointed and comfortable. There was ample room for us to spread out. We maxed out at 7 at any one time and used all four bedrooms. All were comfortable and sufficiently insulated from each other. The pool is nice and serviced weekly. We stayed in July and the water temp was comfortable. There is plenty of storage in the garage for bikes and beach equipment, not to mention a canoe we brought.

Some minor issues…
– kitchen is a little tight for more than one cook at a time. My family likes to congregate while cooking.
– the wi-fi strength in the den was spotty
– parking is tight for more than three vehicles

The walk to the beach (both gulf side and bay side) is no more than 3 minutes. Being just off Periwinkle, the island bike paths are readily accessed. Pinocchio’s is only one block away. The east end of the island is very quiet. The lighthouse is only 1/2 mile away.
